Our products are constantly being iterated as we strive toward meeting the needs of our customers, helping the UK on its journey toward smoke-free status, while also ensuring used products are disposed of sustainably and responsibly.
Our new dedicated R&D facility has a primary focus on reducing environmental impact. As a result of this ongoing R&D, we just made a positive step ahead on the recycling front with our newly launched vape, ELFBAR 600V2, which has a modular and non-soldering design, meaning batteries can be more easily separated.
We are developing a long-term recycling solution in the UK. Multiple partners are part of our pilot programme to place dedicated recycling bins for discarded ELFBAR products at their UK-based stores, with more expected to join.
Through our GreenAwareness partner programme, we are working with Recover, a UK lithium battery recycling company, to responsibly handle the collected devices. The products are then 100% disassembled by an AATF-certified recycling organisation. The raw materials are recycled and reused, including plastic and metals in the battery. The recycling process takes place in the UK.
We are also working directly with retailers and retailer organisations in the provision of 1,000s of free in-store vape bins to further drive the recycling of used vapes in the UK. Retailers can select whether to partner with Recover or utilise other reputable providers in the UK for the collection and subsequent recycling process.
How to recycle your device
We strongly encourage our customers to enjoy our products responsibly and dispose of them sustainably. Vapes, like anything with a plug, battery, or cable, should never be binned or littered and should always be recycled. You can recycle in major supermarkets, specialist vape shops and other outlets. Customers can find their nearest recycling point on the Recycle Your Electricals postcode locator and we would encourage anybody who has questions about how to dispose of their used vape, to contact our customer service team at support@elfbar.com.
